I'm Hayley.​

I write high stakes, high concept rom-coms with a speculative twist.

 

I've also been known to dabble in narrative and humor essays, feminist academia, highly ambitious to-do lists, and dating app bios for friends who ask nicely.

I graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Writing and a minor in Gender Studies and went on to earn my MFA in Screenwriting. Though I am a writer first and foremost, I have also worked extensively in visual design and marketing, with about 10 years of content creation experience. I am currently a Senior Product Marketing Manager for a software company, which brings together content creation, research, and strategy, along with a heavy dose of collaboration and project management, which I quite enjoy. It also brings me health insurance, which I also quite enjoy.

Other passions include vegetarian cooking, animal rescue, Pilates, and not being a jerk. I'm a firm believer in celebrating everything you can in the most over-the-top fashion (including half birthdays and Shark Week) and observing Fun Drink Friday, whatever that means for you (in my case, usually some kind of strawberry matcha situation).

I live in the foothills of Northern California with my gorgeous nerdy husband and our clingy dog Archibald. We call ourselves The Homebody Club, and we're happiest on the couch, surrounded in cozy blankets, eating snacks.​
